Pain Management Treatment for acute or chronic pain

Lissa combines the clinically-proven SCENAR biofeedback device (see below) with Myofascial Release massage to dispel pain and improve function.  Once the SCENAR has stimulated the body’s natural healing response, Lissa works to relieve tension in the fascia, instantly relaxing tight muscles.

Spinal Alignment Therapy - Three treatments over four weeks

Lissa applies gentle Dorn Spinal Therapy with a spinal stretch massage using relaxing St John’s Wort oil OR with SCENAR spinal pathways, to correct joint and spinal imbalances.  This guided self-aligning process eliminates complications such as back pain, headaches and certain ear or eye problems.

Structural Integration Series - A program of three to 10 sessions

Lissa is one of just two body therapists currently practicing this clinically proven method, developed by Dr Ida Rolf, in Townsville. By sequentially treating different areas of the body, Structural Integration improves the body's structure, form and general wellbeing. It can improve physical skills, emotional calmness, sensory awareness and muscular efficiency. You will leave each session with a feeling of balance and ease, as well as improved posture that is easily maintained through your newly integrated structure.

Personal Postural Training - Two sessions are recommended

Lissa will lead you through a range of Pilates, Swiss Ball and spatial awareness exercises to reduce daily aches and pains, improve posture and leave you feeling lighter and looser. You can continue to practice these exercises at home.

Lymphatic Drainage

Stimulates circulation of the Lymphatic System to speed up waste removal and eliminate toxins associated with stress, cellulite, chronic fatigue, overweight, neurological disorders, arthritis and pain. This treatment is also beneficial during pregnancy or for improving general wellbeing.

Intro or follow-up SCENAR treatments

The SCENAR therapy device is a hand held, battery-powered electrotherapy device that combines Western biofeedback with Eastern energy medicine to reduce pain and improve mobility and general quality of life.
