Self Controlled Electro Neuro Adaptive Regulator (SCENAR) and ENAR

SCENAR is a hand-held therapeutic device that is moved over the body to find and treat 'asymmetries' (disorders) through the skin. The SCENAR uses reflex biofeedback, a dynamic computer-modulated interactive electro-stimulation, between itself and the soft tissue to stimulate the nervous system's natural adaptive functioning, the universal basis to all healing.

The SCENAR allows therapeutic precision through digital assessment, monitoring and management of the body’s problem areas. As such, the SCENAR can be used to treat a wide variety of painful syndromes.

The Origins

Before ENAR Treatment

The SCENAR and ENAR technology was first developed in the mid 1980s as part of the Russian space and military research program.  Originally it was intended for use by Cosmonauts in outer space but was never used as funding dried up during the breakup of the USSR. However, in 1986 the first SCENAR, having passed technical and clinical trials, was granted permission by the USSR Medical Council to be used in hospitals and homes.  It has been listed with the ARTG in Australia as a medical device with the purpose of providing pain relief and functional restoration and improvement.
